Our vision is to build a highly esteemed rugby programme that provides all members with a first-class rugby experience, complementing the excellent academic experience the University is renowned for.
To realise our vision, we need the support of our global 1858 Club members and to grow our Rugby Scholarships Fund in order to attract the best student rugby players from around the world.
The 1858 Club was formed to support the development of rugby at St Andrews and offers a way for former players, friends, and family to stay connected and help sustain the Club’s long and distinguished history.
Financial support given to the Club is channelled straight back into helping student players – primarily through individual scholarships and awards.

As a performance sport programme we have lofty ambitions both on and off the rugby pitch, these range from being successful in competitions to providing a world class experience for our players.
